The official delegation of Uzbekistan under the leadership of Chairman of the State Committee on tourism development Anvar Sharapov visited Malaysia. A key objective of the visit was to establish sustainable partnership between representatives of tourism industry, increase the tourist exchange between the countries and attract Malaysian investors to establish modern infrastructure in Uzbekistan.

 
On June 7, historical and architectural complex Chorsu in Shahrisabz will witness the opening of an art gallery, according to the press service of the State tourism committee.
 
A calendar of tourist events in Uzbekistan has been replenished with another major cultural event.
 
The Termez Archaeological Museum held an exhibition about the work of Kato Kyuzo, a Japanese professor and prolific author, who loved the Uzbek people and Uzbekistan, calling it his second Homeland.
 
Students of the Republic Specialised Boarding Arts School take part in the annual Ikuo Hirayama 'Ko'zmunchoq' Exhibition that combines bright colours, original compositions, and interesting stories.
 
The State Conservatory, the Batir Zakirov Pop-Symphonic Orchestra, and Ilhom Theatre have organised the 3rd International Jazz Festival, to be held from 30 March to 30 April, with support by the Uzbek culture ministry, UNESCO in Uzbekistan, German, Indian, Indonesian, Latvian, Turkish, Swiss, and Czech embassies and with participation of Estonian performers.
 
In the afternoon, Shavkat Mirziyoev, accompanied by Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the State Opera and ballet theatre "Astana-Opera".
 
The Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan and the agency Uzbekkino will screen three movies and two animated films produced in Japan, as part of the Japanese Films Days at the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace, from 24 to 26 March.
 
The decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On measures on further improvement of the management system in the field of culture and sports" provides for the establishment of off-budget fund for development of culture and art.
 
These days, the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre named after Alisher Navoi presented a real surprise. The ballet "Le Corsaire" by Adolphe Adam returned to the stage after three years. For the first time it was played in 1968. Then the famous choreographer Ibrahim Yusupov took the choreography by Marius Petipa as a basis, who prepared the premiere of this ballet in the late 19th century. The directors of the Bolshoi preserved the version of Ibrahim Yusupov, bringing to it new costumes and amazing scenery beauty. And, of course, the cast has been changed - now it's promising young artists.
 
The exhibition of Japanese painting Sumi-e has kicked off at International caravanserai of culture Ikuo Hirayama. The exhibition presents more than 50 works by renowned masters in this field of art, including Gayane Matevosyan, who teaches Sumi-e technique. The exhibition also includes works of her 16 students, who by the way are not professional artists.
